Why don’t city buses stop at regular bus stops?

Author: On Bogadi-Gaddige road, we have one city bus stop near Amrita Vidyalaya just before the Ring Road. There is a bus shelter which is designated as bus-stop with a board.

On 29th April, I accompanied my daughter who was going to Bangalore by Shatabdi and I had to purchase a platform ticket.
Remit tax at Mysoreone office
In contrast to the citizens’ plight at the MCC office near Akashavani Circle, Yadavagiri, while paying property tax, I had a pleasant experience at the MysoreOne office in Doctor’s Corner, Gokulam.

Bus Pass: Revert to old fare
Recently I happened to travel from J.P. Nagar to CBS and from CBS to Kuvempunagar complex by city bus No. 11. I purchased a daily bus pass when I boarded the bus at J.P. Nagar and found to my utter surprise that the rate of the pass had gone up from Rs. 30 some four months back to Rs. 35 now.
Increase fine on plastic bags
We are well aware of our contribution to the ever-escalating pollution. On June 5th of every year — World Environment Day — we vow to do our bit to protect the environment from destruction. This day, we are all enthused and concerned about nature. But as the next day dawns, we forget our promises and go about our usual business of dumping waste “neatly” in plastic bags, demanding carry bags for each product we buy until the next year’s so called “Environment Day” approaches.
