Kafe Biriyani Corner as its name implies, is famous for its tasty biryani. The menu is so tempting that we feel like ordering the lot! They have Mutton Biriyani, Chicken Biriyani (Rs.58), Egg Biriyani (Rs.48) Mutton Fried Rice (Rs.42), Chicken Fried Rice (Rs.36) and Vegetable Biriyani (Rs.36). We settle for Mutton Biriyani and restlessly wait for it to arrive. When it does, the first mouthful confirms its reputation as one of the best in the city. The accompanying special gravy and cucumber salad perfectly complement the rich taste of the biryani. A plate has four to five pieces of mutton / chicken. At last, we polish off every last grain, our tummies are pleasantly full and we feel a sense of satisfaction. We learn that the Mutton Biriyani is the most popular item on the menu and we know why.

If you aren’t big on biryani, you can order meals (Rs.22) or white rice (Rs.12) with chicken dishes like Butter Chicken, Chicken Kalimirchi or Chicken Kadai (all cost Rs.58). Other chicken delicacies include Chicken Kabab (Rs.55), Chicken 65 (Rs.55), Chicken Lollipop (Rs.55), etc. They also have a variety of spicy and mild mutton dishes like Mutton Fry, Mutton Chilly Dry Fry (both Rs.65), Mutton Pepper Fry, Mutton Masala, Mutton Chettinadu and Mutton Kadai (all Rs.68). Delicious fish curries and fish fries will tantalize seafood lovers and go along splendidly with white rice.

Vegetarians need not be disappointed with all this mention of meat because they do have limited but delicious vegetarian fare ranging from Gobi Manchurian (Rs.30) to Chilly Paneer (Rs.35) and Paneer Manchurian (Rs.45). You can wash down your food with popular brands of soft drinks or with a healthy glass of buttermilk.
